Wensleydale is such a lovely part of the world and is as pretty as a picture!

With this in mind we are launching a competition for the best pictures of Wensleydale - prize to be announced.

Send your pictures to the nice people at GREEN Communications at info@greencomms.com - and they will post them on our Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Flickr account and this website. We will then invite viewers to vote for their favourite.

Let you imagine run free - pictures of the dales, cows, sheep, cheese, whatever will all be accepted.

I would like to introduce you to the Cheese People. They all live in Wensleydale Vale.
This is a new childrens book I am looking at publishing very soon. Please email me for an introduction with pictures of the characters.

Hi, We just found your wonderful Wensleydale cheese(to us it will always be Wallace & Gromit cheese)here in Sacramento, Ca…that is Northern, Ca. We have no pretty pictures to send you right now as we are having our summer which means most days are 95+ degrees. We are green but you just survive summer here. I have a few slices of a Pink Lady apple from New Zealand and your wonderful cheese which I am enjoying while working on the net. We happened upon your cheese at Whole Foods market(in Sacramento) which is a chain of natural food groceries from Austin, Texas. We understand that Whole Foods is allied with a grocer in the UK. Anyhow, you now have a rabid Wensleydale cheese fan here in the foothills of the Sierra NevadaMountains. I am happy I decided to look you up on the net.

Hello. My seven year old daughter has been in love with your cheese for a couple of years now, she was introduced through Wallace and Gromit of course. She sadly only gets it twice a year though, Christmas and the summer. We are in Little Rock, Arkansas in the US so it is a treat for her. We too are in the throws of a massively hot summer here, temps are in excess of 100F right now with no rain so it’s all brown and crackly here, not like your part of the world, the pictures are lovely. Anyway we love your place there and hope to be able to visit in the future.

Hi Renee,

Great to hear your daughter enjoys Wenselydale cheese. It is available in the US if you can find it - try your local deli counter.

Just wanted to say that I love your cheese which you can buy in the US at Whole Foods Market.

I found out about your cheese while searching my family name which is “Hawes.” I hope to visit someday.
