New look for Wensleydale

The Wensleydale Creamery has launched its new branding this week at IFE, the UK’s largest event in the food calendar.

Our new brand has been designed to focus on the company’s key message - that it is the only producer of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese in the world.

IFE, which runs until March 21, is being held at ExCel, the international exhibition and conference centre in London. The Wensleydale Creamery will also introduce Wenselydale& Cranberry - a blended cheese that effortlessly brings together the fruity flavour of the juiciest Ocean Spray cranberries with the soft, crumbly and creamy texture of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale.

The creamery has re-invigorated itself ahead of a planned marketing campaign that will showcase all that’s good about The Wensleydale Creamery and its cheeses. It will seek to encourage shoppers to enjoy the ‘€œauthentic taste of the Dales’ and take advantage of a product that is local, traditional and natural.

Our David Hartley said: “We have seen our business grow year on year over the past fourteen years. While we adhere to time-honoured traditional, handcrafted production techniques at The Wensleydale Creamery we are also an innovative business constantly looking for new and exciting formats. This has proven very successful in the past particularly with our new and improved blended Wensleydale& Cranberry.

“With this in mind we have chosen to revisit our brands and have invested in a new look and feel that better reflects our values, traditions and the goodness of Wensleydale. We like to think of this as evolution rather than a revolution and of course clearly communicates our key message that we are the only producer of Real Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese in the World.”

The mature Wensleydale cheese is the best food experience ever. So much so I’m driving from Norfolk to buy more. It’s worth every mile of the journey.

hello I am an american living in Denver Colorado and just this morning at my local grocery store I picked up some Wensleydale cheese. I had never heard of the name before but our food store here always tries to have a large selection of cheeses and I try to pick up a new one each time I am there.

Well. It is DELICIOUS! So much so that I had to look you all up on the net. Since it is imported it is selling for $15.99 lb. yea, a bit steep but I am planning to go back and pick up some more!

An American who is very impressed with your product,

Lissa Kreutzer
