Creamery nominated in UKTV Food Awards
Wensleydale Creamery has been nominated in the UKTV Food Awards which aims to celebrate the nation’s local food heroes.
The UKTV Food: Local Hero Awards will celebrate and reward small food businesses and specialist producers across Britain. Nominees are chosen by the public who can vote for their favourite at the UKTV Food website.
Once all the votes are counted, shortlisted contenders will battle it out to win the coveted UKTV Food: Local Hero Award, in a new Gary Rhodes series - UKTV Food’s Local Food Heroes 2006 which will hit the screens in November.
The awards coincide with our decision to protect Real Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese following the announcement that we have made a submission for Protected Designation of Origin for Wensleydale cheese.
